What You Will Do

  • Lead on the formative assessment processes for accredited and non-accredited ESOL groups, from initial assessments, to diagnostic handbooks, tutorial assessments and end of year progression assessments.
  • Lead on the summative Trinity assessment processes for accredited ESOL groups, including the coordination of Trinity exams for all ESOL groups at Entry 3.and above
  • Lead on the E3-L2 provision with line management of staff.
  • Engage with the department’s mission values and ethos; and actively ensure the department and its staff live up to the standards of the central mission statement.

  • Confident to develop and deliver strategies to improve progression, retention, achievement, success and attendance
  • Can work positively across departments to maintain relationships which maximise student outcomes and staff upskilling
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work independently
  • Proven line management of staff
  • An ambassador for digital inclusion and empowering staff and students to be digitally literate
