This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, skilled and energetic professional who is able to act as a key point of contact for our Alumni (Old Witleians) and related events, as well as assisting the Development Director in communicating the School’s mission and rising to the challenge of growing our fundraising programmes.
We are looking for an experienced administrator with excellent interpersonal and organisation skills who, working alongside the Development Director and School’s Accountant, can truly influence the continuing success of King Edward’s School.
You will join a small experienced team, complementing the current skill set, increasing capacity and undertaking duties such as the day-to-day running of the development office, Alumni relations, supporting fundraising and stewardship activities, and maintaining the departmental systems and database.
Previous experience within the Education sector is not essential, although desirable, and experience within Fundraising would be an advantage.
As well as job satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment, we can offer a competitive salary, generous pension scheme, all meals and snacks on duty, free car parking, generous staff fee remission on School fees both at King Edward’s and our partner school Barrow Hills, free use of gym, swimming pool and sports facilities, and a Cycle to Work Scheme.
King Edward's School is a co-educational boarding and day 11-18 school for some 400 pupils, around 60% of whom are full boarders. We are an HMC school, rated EXCELLENT in all areas by ISI. We are proud of our unique heritage and place among British co-educational independent schools as it incorporates a foundation which supports children who have a need for a boarding style of education.
