We are currently looking for an exceptional Digital Learning Coach from August 2024.

Qualifications Requested   

• A minimum of two years of prior experience in teaching integrated technology across the curriculum, coding, maker activities, and tinkering.
• Apple Teacher Status
• Proficiency with a wide range of Apple hardware and apps, as well as other relevant technologies (coding, robots, maker centered learning, etc.) depending on learning objectives.
• Right to work in Italy (EU passport or valid Italian work VISA).
• Immaculate police check(s).

Contract Duration   

• Fixed-term, with the possibility for extension.

Advantageous but not required

• Experience in a co-teaching role.
• Experience in an IBPYP school.
• Apple Learning Coach and/or Apple.
• Distinguished Educator (ADE) Experience in an international school.

Job responsibilities 

• Plan and teach collaboratively with class teachers to facilitate integrated technology integration learning across the curriculum. 
• Facilitating integrated and balanced technology learning experiences that encourage deep exploration and develop conceptual understanding.
• Promoting active learning through inquiry and collaboration.
• Developing students' range of technological (digital and analogue) capabilities in areas such as coding, computational thinking, digital literacy, as well as the use of the iPad as a learning tool.
• Emphasizing connections between technology learning and real-world applications.
• Ensuring a cohesive and progressive learning experience that fosters the development of technology skills over time.
• Facilitating students’ skill transfer to new situations.
• Ensuring students understand the purpose and application of technology.
• Providing ongoing support and feedback to students to enhance their critical thinking abilities and technological literacy
• Support teachers to utilize technology to support pedagogy and enhance student engagement.
• Encouraging regular reflection and collaboration among students.
• Facilitating parent workshops to develop a shared understanding of technology integration in the PYP section.
• Ensuring the regular maintenance and optimal functionality of digital learning tools (excluding iPads), coding equipment (robots, drones), troubleshooting some issues, and liaising with IT support to address technical challenges.
