We are looking to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to join the Harris Leadership College as Digital Learning Support Officer.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Harris Leadership College (HLC) team, working predominantly on the School Led Network (SLN) programme, which provides National Professional Qualifications (NPQ) for teachers.

The purpose of your role will be to provide digital learning support for the SLN Learning Management System (LMS) to facilitate participants attendance on NPQ programmes, including first-line support for platform related queries, quality assurance of content sequencing and uploading of training material.

Main Areas of Responsibility

You will be responsible for facilitating digital learning in the HLC and supporting with all elements of the SLN’s NPQ offer across all delivery partners.  Specific areas of responsibility will include:

Digital Learning Support

  • Support the enabling and operationalising of digital learning strategies / solutions across all aspects of Harris Leadership College’s (HLC) provision.
  • Provide high quality support with all aspects of the administration and coordination of HLC programmes; with a particular focus on the School Led Network.
  • Project support to ensure the successful delivery of professional development programmes including participant and facilitator management, proofing of learning materials and sequencing of NPQ training uploads on to the digital platform.
  • Coordination of NPQ live facilitated and self-study delivery material, to ensure timely upload.
  • Authentication of participant data, registration, induction, maintenance of tracking databases etc.
  • Contribute to the creation of online learning modules and courses based on content and design requirements
  • Assist with developing approaches to communication and guidance for users of online learning to raise engagement and effectiveness.
  • Liaise with SLN Delivery Providers to ensure timely advice and guidance to participants, schools and delivery partners.
  • Updating and coordinating information displayed on the SLN website.

SLN Digital Platform Support

  • First-line support to digital platform users, including participants, facilitators and delivery partners, to ensure the effective delivery of NPQ programmes.
  • Trouble shoot emerging platform issues and escalate where appropriate, including to the LMS developer, Microsoft 365 or inhouse IT support.
  • Work closely with the Digital Platform Manager to continue the development of the LMS, attending the Digital Platform Operations Group to progress and resolve issues, and disseminate key messages.
  • Uploading of NPQ programme training material to the digital platform.
  • Support with the external assurance of digital platform participant data.
  • Quality assurance of training material on digital platform.
  • Liaise with Harris Federation’s Central IT team to ensure potential solutions are coherent/aligned with wider Trust direction and to support the successful implementation of agreed solutions where collaboration is required.

Business support and analysis

  • Produce programme data reports via PowerBi (training to be provided) as required.
  • Liaise with external agencies and partners, providing paperwork, reports, data collection, statistical records, admission information and Department for Education returns.
  • Ensure all digital information is managed in line with Harris Federation data classification standards.
  • Provide administration support for the quality assurance of NPQ delivery via the digital platform.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate must have excellent IT skills and a basic understanding of project management disciplines, such as planning, reporting, risk management, communication and good organisational skills. A background in education is not essential. 

Training and professional development will be a fundamental part of the role, with opportunities to progress within the organisation.

We are looking for:

  • A-Level (A*-C) level of education
  • Competent IT skill-set, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Experience of working in a professional and high-paced environment.
  • Proven and well-developed interpersonal skills, including good communication both written and verbal.
  • Good administrative skills with an excellent eye for to detail, including proof reading skills, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Professional working ethic and a commitment to high standards.
  • Ability to ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
