The governors of Rossett School wish to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational leader to raise the level of student achievement to manage and lead the SEND provision across the school.

The successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • demonstrate expertise in SEND provision;
  • demonstrate outstanding teaching of their subject specialism at all key stages;
  • motivate students to achieve excellent outcomes;
  • lead, manage and inspire an experienced team;
  • enthuse students and staff alike;
  • make a positive all-round contribution to the ethos of the school.

Rossett School is an oversubscribed, progressive 11-18 mixed secondary and we converted to academy status on 1 July 2011. In its last Ofsted the school was judged ‘Outstanding’.

We believe it is important to provide an education for all, acknowledging that the society in which we live is enriched by diversity. We strive to recognise and celebrate the diversity within our school community where everyone is equally valued and treats one another with respect and fairness.

The school achieves excellent exam results with 75% of students gaining 5+ A*-C in 2016 (69% with English & Maths).

Staff at Rossett work as a collaborative team and are committed to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning throughout the school and we offer staff excellent professional development opportunities.
