Bedford Academy has a seven year record of improving results and in Maths results have risen dramatically. We are looking to develop a knowledge based curriculum across the Trust and you will be part of this development in maths. This post is part of Bedford Academy Extended Senior Leadership Team.

Since opening we have moved into our new state of the art building and became a secondary school adding years 7 and 8. Last year Bedford Academy, an Ofsted good school with outstanding leadership (October 2015), has formed HEART Academies Trust with 3 other local schools.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-qualified, driven professional, who is an outstanding classroom practitioner, to join our Family of Schools. You will be an inspiring teacher with the energy and creativity to lead Maths and support the team. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our belief in the highest standards of academic achievement in an inclusive setting. You will be an excellent teacher with the ability to deliver at key stage 3, 4 and 5.

There are significant opportunities for your development through the HEART Academies Trust Family of Schools and this role will prepare you, should you wish, for a further role within the Family. HEART Academies Trust is committed to provide high quality professional development for all staff.

You will be joining a highly innovative, inspirational and ambitious organisation, so we are seeking only outstanding candidates who can realise the highest possible quality of services to support our educational vision.

We wish to appoint someone who has:

· Excellent teaching, reflective and interpersonal skills

· The ability to work as part of teams and be flexible

· High quality organisational skills

· The ability and drive to improve all student outcomes

As a member of our staff team we can offer:

· Excellent professional development opportunities and career progression

· A friendly and supportive working environment

· A modern, state of the art working environment

If you are passionate about improving outcomes for students and you are looking for an exciting opportunity to have a real impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment, then this could be the job for you.

HEART Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to DBS checks and excellent references.
