Prem Tinsulanonda International School, known simply as ‘Prem’, is a prestigious IB-World School that serves the local and expatriate community of Chiang Mai, as well as being home to some 150 globally diverse boarders. We are proud to be the first four-programme IB School in Thailand (PYP, MYP, DP and CP), and offer an outstanding holistic education on a campus of great natural beauty. All students at Prem, from Early Years through Grade 12, learn and thrive in multi-faceted ways, and during their educational journey they will enjoy: The seven acre farm, our new Forest School, the Olympic-sized swimming pool, the golf driving range, archery range, the Tennis Academy, football and cricket pitches, fitness gym and gymnasium, cookery school, leadership courses, and service learning all within Prem’s landscaped waterways in beautiful, rural Chiang Mai. 


Reporting to Prem Head of School and working closely with the Marketing Department the Director of Admissions, Advancement and Development (AAD) will be joining Prem at a very exciting time in the school’s 19-year history and will play a pivotal role in the future development of both Prem Tinsulanonda International School, and the various unique aspects of its umbrella company Traidhos, Three-Generation Community for Learning (TTG). The Director of AAD will lead a talented team of four  individuals in the Admissions Department, ensuring that excellent systems are in place for monitoring and recording at every stage for the Admissions process. 

Additionally the Director of AAD, working closely with the Marketing Department and the Parent-School Community, will initiate an Advancement Programme that focuses on developing a sustainable system for sponsorship, gifting and fundraising to ensure a life-long legacy of security,  and the pursuit of excellence in every area of school and community life.  

Roles and Responsibilities:


Admissions/Marketing


● Lead the Admissions team in being the Front of House: warm, welcoming, professional face of Prem.

● Welcome new parents, ensuring that their orientation and induction to the School and its procedures and expectations gives the most positive first impression possible.

● Develop and execute strategic admission and re-enrolment plans with target goals.

● Assume responsibility for the expansion of an internationally and culturally diverse student body through the active marketing of the scholarship programme and a systematic expansion of use of agents and educational fairs. 

● Develop a robust system for admissions enquiries, follow-ups, enrolment and  re-enrolment data collection. Ensure that data is regularly available for presentation to the school community and assume responsibility for sharing Admissions information.

● Responsible for the building and maintaining of the school's enrolment management data base system and the school-wide sharing of current and historically comparative admissions information.

● Provide oversight, input and guidance on the creation of all publicity media and materials to include the school website, all print publications including the School, Boarding, IEP and Prem International Academy brochures.

● Seek out new and maintain existing relocation companies and other agents and contacts with whom to promote the school.

● Works with the school’s Marketing department to develop consistent promotional messaging for the school: digital, print and spoken. 

● Ensure the School has the appropriate media coverage and profile with key influencers such as educational associations, professional websites and journals.

● Liaises with teachers and Prem faculty to organise and host various open house events 

● Represents and promotes the school both at local events in Chiang Mai, and internationally.

● Monitor student departures by conducting exit surveys and interviews, reporting on their findings and ensure that links are maintained with departing families. Ensure that this data is used to improve the School.

● Be responsible for ensuring that our website is fresh, eye catching, informative, user friendly and representative of the ‘Prem Brand’ and the range of achievements, events, programmes, services and opportunities occurring in or planned for the School.

● Monitor rates of retention: Ensure educational Programmes for parents, stakeholders, make time to listen to present parents as well as prospective parents.

Advancement 

● Develop and oversee strategies for all aspects of Advancement, including fundraising, marketing, communications, and alumni

● Identify, research and solicit prospective donors, including individuals, corporations, foundations, organizations.

● Educate and engage key volunteers, especially Parent-School Community, in implementing and executing mission-based fundraising.

● Present to the Head of School and Board of Governors an annual Advancement plan for achieving specific objectives.

● Develop and maintain warm and sustainable relationships with all constituents.

● Engage enthusiastic faculty members in the furtherance of the advancement course.

● Create database and data management for reports and analysis as they relate to school development. Update and maintain the alumni and past parent databases.

Development

● Ensure that official documentation such as school correspondence templates (letterheads, email templates, business cards, school leaflets, booklets, school and course prospectuses and other documents) are effectively promoting the school and its services and are aligned to the appropriate Prem guidelines.

● Lead the running of ‘special’ and regular large and/or high profile events, ensuring they are successfully managed and effectively promoted

Boarding

● Work with the Head of Boarding to ensure that capacity used, both within the School year and during holiday periods where needed 

● Ensure excellent channels of communication with the parents of boarders, planning into the school year appropriate times to meet, greet and receive feedback.

● Specifically promote the Boarding provision of the School to existing and new markets. 


Qualifications:


- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or other related field with a minimum of 5 years of  experience.

- Experience in enrollment management, development, sales, marketing, communication, and/or volunteer management.

- Superior communication skills, ability to interact confidently and effectively with school staff, students, donors, trustees (board members), school administration and alumni.

- Experience of high-level networking to build creative and mutually beneficial relationships that positively impact on strategic and tactical business development.

- A collaborative team player who operationalizes excellence in all that they do.

Prem Tinsulanonda International School is a mixed, non-selective, independent all-through school with boarding in Thailand, serving students from the age of 3-19. The all-through school, Chiang Mai has over 500 students. It is authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organsation and accredited by the Council of International Schools, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the Thai Ministry of Education.  The school also joins a network of innovative schools in 50 countries in the Round Square organisation.

Prem Tinsulanonda International School opened in 2001 and is part of the Traidhos Three-Generation Community for Learning. The school welcomes international students from over 30 countries. Students complete IB Diploma.  Grade 11 can also go on to sit the IB Career-related Programme, a two year vocational course allowing for them to gain practical work experience, language development and contribute to the community. Facilities at the all-through school include a swimming pool, drama studio, cooking school, library, sports fields and music studio.
