Founded in 1898, Sherborne Girls is a vibrant boarding community set in a beautiful campus in a Dorset market town. Educating just under 500 pupils ages 11 to 18, Sherborne Girls is a friendly and compassionate environment where girls’ individual strengths, talents, and interests are nurtured. The school believes in helping every girl find her niche, providing plentiful, diverse, and challenging opportunities across every facet of education. Sherborne helps girls write the story of their lives, empowering them to become inquisitive, aspirational, kind, and ready for the challenges of the 21st century with a clear sense of ambition and the personal qualities to succeed in whatever path they choose.

Sherborne Girls is now seeking a talented admissions professional to lead its Admissions and Marketing teams. They will lead the implementation of a Prep School Engagement Strategy encompassing current feeder schools and new markets and ensure an effective and efficient admissions process for both internal and external audiences. They will also play a key role in evolving the school’s entrance procedures, capturing and examining data on recruitment trends and conversion rates, and overseeing contact with UKVI.

The successful candidate will have the personal dynamism and gravitas to be a strong ambassador for Sherborne Girls to prospective parents and advisors. They will bring significant admissions experience, ideally within the independent school sector, and knowledge of the boarding market would also be beneficial. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading successful multi-disciplinary teams, preferably within a senior leadership position, and will have experience in a customer-focused environment. They will be proactive, resourceful, and positive, and will have strong relationship management skills.
