The Director of Arts and Technology is one of three new leadership posts at Director level that the school is investing in to support our trajectory of improvement in the years ahead.  Our strategic focus is clear – to improve the quality of education provided by the school.  As Director of Arts and Technology, you will play a pivotal role in working within a strong leadership team that includes five curriculum leaders to develop and implement a high-quality curriculum that makes success for our pupils inevitable.

This vacancy is an excellent opportunity for a talented practitioner, who can have impact and make a positive difference to the lives of our young people.  You will be joining Parkside at an exciting time in our incredible journey.  Our last OFSTED Inspection – April 2017, rated us as Good in all areas and we were awarded National Support School status in March 2018.  Both of these awards give Parkside choices into the future and in its next stage of development.

It is intended that interviews will take place over two days on 9 and 10 May 2019.  Further shortlisting may take place following the first day.

Parkside Community School is a small sized 11-16 secondary located in Chesterfield. In April 2023 it joined Embark Federation.
