The Governors of Upton-by-Chester High School are seeking to appoint an exceptional leader:

Assistant Headteacher – Director of Assessment and Standards

Full Time and Permanent to start September 2023

L12 – 16: £58,105 - £64,225

This is an exciting opportunity to take a key role in successful 11-18 school.  The Assistant Headteacher will work as part of the Senior Leadership Team to support the Headteacher in shaping the future of the school to ensure the best outcomes for all our learners across Key Stage Three, Four and Five.  As part of the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will work to continue to develop a high quality curriculum, outstanding assessment and effective use of data across the school.

The successful candidate will work directly with the Deputy Headteacher (Quality of Education and standards) and will work very closely with the schools Data Manager and Examinations Officer.  Other links will be with both the Heads of Department and Pastoral team. This will ensure that all staff in school have a consistent and effective use of data to support the development and progress of all learners in our school.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Deputy Headteacher and will be responsible for leading on Assessment and Progress across the school.

A fantastic opportunity for experienced Middle Leaders with a proven track record to further develop their career and to demonstrate they are able to take on the responsibilities and demands of a high profile role successfully in a larger secondary school.

 

Ofsted short inspection in May 2019 was highly successful, endorsing our previous judgement, ‘This is a good school with an outstanding sixth form’ (May 2015)
