Cambridge International School Nairobi is looking for an experienced, well qualified and highly motivated Director of Boarding with excellent organisational and communication skills. The Boarding Facility caters for around 120 students: 60 girls and 60 boys, with 45 students currently on the roll. The successful candidate will be expected to enhance the boarding experience for our students while increasing the enrolment of the Boarding Facility. The main school is now in its fifth year of operation with GEMS Africa regarding the Boarding Facility as a key element in terms of developing the school while ensuring that the students in the unit receive a high quality boarding experience.

We seek a candidate that has significant experience in leading such a facility and a proven ability to develop a strong ethos and values within the boarding community. As well as being highly organised and enthusiastic, the successful candidate will also display a deep understanding of the personal and social needs of our students of various ages. The person appointed will be expected to join the Senior Leadership of the school and play a significant role in moving the school forward. A generous package is offered for such a person.

In making an application please outline in a letter of no more than two sides of A4 your philosophy for establishing and leading such a facility and what you would hope to achieve by the end of the first two years of leading the Boarding School.

Initial interviews will be organised via Skype. It is then hoped that the shortlisted candidates will be interviewed and the appointment process completed by the end of October 2016, in good time for a January 2017 start.
