What does the role involve?

As the Director of Computing, you will be responsible for the development of teaching and learning and the standards achieved in Computing across the Collegiate. This will require effective professional leadership of a team of staff to ensure that all students enjoy a rich learning experience and make or exceed expected progress.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Director of Computing to lead our team of highly motivated professionals who are working collaboratively to raise standards and expectations at all levels throughout the Computing Department. The person specification identifies the experience, skills and attributes we are seeking, but in short we are looking for:

•         a very strong classroom practitioner

•         a confident role model with the ability to motivate and influence

•         an individual with strategic and emotional intelligence

•         an ambitious leader

This is an exciting and very fulfilling post, providing excellent preparation for further promotion and, naturally, there will be high quality support and opportunities for further professional learning and development in the role.
