Wimbledon High School wants to be one of this country’s leading digital schools with a truly innovative approach to the great adventure of learning.
We are therefore looking for a Director of Digital Learning and Innovation to join our Senior Management Team and to lead the school’s forward-thinking and multi-disciplinary e-strategy, ensuring that all our students become confident and imaginative creators of technology, rather than simply its consumers.
After three years of significant investment and development, we have a burgeoning reputation as a digital leader in learning and innovation, and this is a unique opportunity to build on this at a very exciting time in the school’s (digital) history.
The role is broad in scope, and offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and engaging individual to make their mark at our Microsoft Showcase School by developing our current initiatives (Bring Your Own Device, our cross-disciplinary STEAM room, our Scientists in Residence, our work with Microsoft and other partners) whilst also spearheading projects of their own to develop the way we use technology, inside and outside the classroom.
Whether you are an IT manager with a strong educational background and a keen interest in education, or an outstanding Head of Department with a focus on Digital Learning and Innovation who is looking to develop your career within a fun and energetic team, we would be delighted to hear from you.
In return, we can offer a variety of benefits, such as:
• Access to extensive professional development opportunities
• Training grants for qualifications
• Generous pension schemes
• Free life assurance benefit
• Free school lunches
• A discount of up to 50% on fees for children at GDST schools
Further details of the position and the application form are available by clicking the apply button.
The closing date for applications is Friday 24 November 2017.
Interviews are scheduled to take place on Tuesday 5 December 2017.
The School reserves the right to commence the interview process at any time prior to the closing date so early application is recommended.
Wimbledon High School is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
