Director of Drama

We are seeking to appoint a visionary and dynamic Director of Drama with an energetic passion for their subject and the desire to nurture that in young people. 

They will have a belief in the profound importance of the arts, within our school community and beyond, together with the personal skills to lead a lively team, manage a busy industry standard theatre and plan and organise a stimulating repertoire of events. 

The successful applicant will be expected to direct productions as well as teach Drama through to A Level, although it is not necessary to be a qualified teacher. We are encouraging applications both from the education and professional arts sector.

Benenden has been one of the leading boarding schools in Britain for almost 100 years. There are 550 girls in the school, aged 11-18, with approximately 180 of those in the Sixth Form.

Accommodation on site may be available. The School’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool are available for staff to use, and meals are provided free to staff whilst on duty.
