Responsible to: DEMAT Chief Executive Officer
Location:   Grace Building, Ely. 
Travel to DEMAT schools and other Trust locations as required
Hours of work: 35 hours per week. There may be a requirement to work outside of  normal working hours

DEMAT is a successful and flourishing MAT with 39 primary schools currently. We are seeking to appoint a Director of Education to join the Executive Team to lead and further develop the Trust’s education offer.  The person appointed will bring a fresh perspective and work with Headteachers, teachers, and governors to develop curriculum and pedagogy as the heart of all we do.  
 
We seek an experienced and innovative senior education professional who understands the power of curriculum and how it can be used to create sustainable success. They will combine a record of successful strategic leadership and sustainable school improvement with imagination, flair and determination to succeed. Our new Director of Education will be an exceptional leader with the energy, rigour and authority to represent the group effectively at the most senior levels in education.
 
If you are a successful headteacher or senior leader within a MAT who recognises the importance of a sequenced, aspirational curriculum in raising outcomes for all pupils and who has the intellect and credibility to bring others with you on a curriculum journey, we would welcome your application.
