We already have a strong education service and positive relationships with our communities but we are keen to see further improvements in school performance and opportunities in lifelong learning . We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a vision for excellence in learning pathways from early years to seniors, in schools and in communities.

The successful candidate will be a member of the Corporate Leadership Team and in partnership with Councillors, communities and partners will build on the improvements of an already successful Council.

As Director of Education and Lifelong learning, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and directing our Schools and Early Learning leaders. They would also be expected to contribute to one public estate, community planning, corporate leadership and champion our children and young people in policy development.
