An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented curriculum quality specialist to join our Leadership Team. In this key position you will have line management responsibility for the Curriculum Leadership Team and work with them to plan and shape the curriculum offer. You will use your expertise to ensure that our students receive the best teaching, learning and support possible, to enable them to fulfil their academic potential. This quality assurance and student support remit runs through the role, as the successful candidate will be the deputy College Nominee, working closely with the Vice Principal to lead on self-assessment and inspection preparation. You will have high expectations and standards along with a natural ability to lead by example to motivate both staff and students. You will relish the opportunity to play an integral role in helping the College to become an outstanding provider.
The successful candidate will:
- Have significant leadership experience in an education setting and a proven track record in raising standards.
- Have an excellent record of successful curriculum leadership, attaining consistently good and outstanding outcomes for students within the 14-19 age groups.
- Be systematic and possess excellent analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends and patterns, develop interventions and present findings clearly and concisely to a range of audiences.
- Possess the excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence necessary to lead and motivate a committed and highly skilled team of staff.
- Have a knowledge and understanding of awarding body and examination compliance procedures.
The successful candidate will be placed on a Spot Salary Point between College Leadership Spine Point 22 – 27 (£61,023 - £67,377) – Commensurate with experience plus an attractive benefits package including 38 days annual leave + bank holidays.

About Luton Sixth Form College
Luton Sixth Form College is a specialist Sixth Form College, providing academic and general vocational education for 16 to 18 year olds in Luton.
Established in September 1966, we are the oldest Sixth Form College in the country and have an enviable reputation for quality and excellence. We are also one of the largest, with more than 2,800 students taking a vast array of A Level and BTEC courses.
Our mission is to provide an outstanding education for young people at the College, and to work with other local providers to ensure that there are opportunities for all young people in Luton to succeed and progress.
The College is located in a quiet residential area in the north of Luton, with easy access from the town centre, A505, A6 and M1. Our site was redeveloped between 2008 and 2010 and the original grammar school buildings were replaced by a £56m campus offering state-of-the-art facilities and modern resources for staff and students.
