Our unique school currently caters for less than 35 children, so classes are small with an average of 12 pupils per class. We are situated in a modern, purpose built school on the idyllic island of Sark, in the Channel Islands.
We are seeking an experienced, strategic leader as Director of Education for Sark. This role will allow for flexible working arrangements with regular visits to Sark and reporting to the Education Committee of our parliament, Chief Pleas, the Director of Education will provide professional expertise and leadership for education for the people of Sark.
The successful candidate will combine a track record of highly successful school leadership experience with the vision and strategic capabilities to guide the development of the education provision for a unique environment. He or she will have strong communication and relationship- building skills, together with a high level of gravitas and professional authority.
This position will be pro-rata for 4 to 5 days per month with flexible working arrangements agreed with the Education Committee.
