Due to expansion, we are looking to recruit a Director of Education for our schools in Italy. This is an exciting dual role for an experienced leader with a proven track record at school leadership and management level, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team. The successful applicant will provide strategic direction to build upon the current provision and ensure future development and success of our schools. The Director will report to the Chief Education Officer. 

You will work closely with senior leadership teams in NACE’s international schools in Rome, Florence and Milan as well as being influential in the set-up of a new Secondary campus in Milan, which is due to open in 2021. On opening, the Director of Education will also take on the role of Executive School Principal of the Milan Campus, including the senior school and four primary feeder schools.

The role is available for either a September 2019 or January 2020 start. 

Key Responsibilities as Director of Education, Italy

• Lead and manage school improvement processes across NACE schools in Italy

• Evaluate schools based on internal quality assurance frameworks, providing reports to the Chief Education Officer

• Support NACE Schools in Italy in preparation for school evaluations and inspections

• Help with the set-up of the new Senior School Campus in Milan, also becoming the Executive School Principal in 2021

Additional Key Responsibilities as Executive School Principal, Milan Campus (2021)

• Provide effective leadership and management for the Milan School Campus

• Maintain and improve the quality of education that the school offers  

• Effective communication with parents & the wider community

• Assisting to maintain and increase the number of students on roll.
