About Role
The Director of Educational Technology and Innovation will provide support to the Head of Schools by providing both visionary and pragmatic leadership to support the instructional and administrative technologies for each school. S/he will administer and facilitate technology-rich teaching and learning and guide collaborative curricular innovation. S/he will be committed to creating student learning experiences aligned to STEAM, design thinking, entrepreneurship and/or ISTE standards.
The role of Director of Educational Technology and Innovation will require the person to be an innovative and dynamic leader, excellent communicator and accomplished driver of change. S/he must be able to effectively motivate, challenge and inspire individual staff commitment, while identifying strengths and areas of opportunity for growth.

Post-holder Qualifications, Experience
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
Certified teacher with at least three years successful classroom experience and at a least one year successful ed tech coaching/leadership experience
Deep understanding of ISTE standards (ISTE certification highly valued)
Experience in establishing a vision, strategic plan and ongoing evaluation cycle for transforming learning with technology
Record of engagement with peers through conference participation, professional writing, personal learning networks and communities of practice
Demonstrated experience using technology supported learning initiatives in the classroom such as blended learning, inquiry-based learning, STEAM, and design thinking
The position includes a teaching load of approximately .4-.5 FTE
