Role: Full-time, permanent position

The Eastern Multi Academy Trust is looking for a high achieving and committed leader to drive the English curriculum and student performance forward across the two secondary academies. We are hoping to appoint an individual who is passionate about their subject and knows how to improve student outcomes further.

This will be a strategic role that will require the successful member of staff to develop different routes of CPD whilst working with the Heads of Department in the two academies. We are looking for a successful Head of English, or an exceptional Second in English.

ROLE PURPOSE

The successful candidate will work with other senior staff to be part of the Secondary School Improvement Team and work closely with both the Eastern Multi Academy Trust Executive team and the academy senior leadership teams. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Secondary Education and contribute to the Trust strategic plans.

This group will also be the key members of staff in delivering CPD from the central hub moving forward in 2020.

This post would be ideal for anyone with successful English leadership experience, with ambition and drive, a clear vision of what constitutes excellence in a large school department and who sees a wider leadership position as the next step in their career.  There would also be opportunities to develop CPD and curriculum for Key Stage 2 staff.

Eastern Multi Academy Trust is made up of two secondary academies and 13 primary academies spread between two geographical areas. There are circa 5200 pupils and 850 staff in the Multi Academy Trust and is the third largest in Easy Anglia.
