South Thames Colleges Group is a large further education college with four main sites in the London boroughs of Kingston, Merton, Sutton and Wandsworth.


We are looking to appoint a Director of Facilities who is an important part of the Group Leadership Team. The Director will be responsible for the Group’s estate and a wide range of associated services which must efficiently and effectively accommodate and support our staff and students. 


We have ambitious plans for the re-modelling our estate and we are also determined to maintain the high standards we have achieved in many parts of the estate. The Director must be a capable manager who is able to implement our strategy which aims to bring all of the estate to the same high standard.  This will require a person who is focused and has the expertise to deliver on a range of complex projects and services by working effectively across our organisation and with a range of external partners, suppliers and other organisations.


Leading and working with a team of facilities managers and local site based staff, the Director will ensure that buildings are kept secure, efficiently maintained and managed in a way that presents the best possible image and service to all of our users.


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the possession of a range of technical skills and in depth knowledge as well as management and communication skills necessary to manage and be effective within a large and diverse organisation.
