The Governors and Headmaster of Bradford Grammar School are seeking to appoint a dynamic, high performing individual with a strong financial and commercial background to join the Senior Leadership Team as the next Director of Finance and Operations at this vibrant, financially well-managed independent school. 

The successful applicant will ideally have an accountancy qualification, strong leadership, management and communication skills, and a proven record in managing a diverse range of services. They will be enthusiastic and yet able to maintain utter discretion and confidentiality; be adaptable and perceptive, able to establish credibility quickly and be empathetic to the aims and ethos of the school, the approach of the Headmaster and the requirements of the Governors generally and as their Clerk. 

Previous experience within a school environment, and a clear understanding of the role of a Bursar would be of benefit but not essential. Bradford Grammar School is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through independent school situated in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The school caters for children from junior school through to sixth form, aged between 6-19. Admission is by exam. There are approximately 1,120 students at the school.   

Bradford Grammar School was founded in 1662 by Royal Charter and has been based on its current site since 1949. It shares a site with its junior school, Clock House. Facilities include specialist sports grounds, a swimming pool and gym.
