Leodis Academies Trust is a successful Multi Academy Trust with four schools in the South Leeds area. Now at a crucial stage in our development and with exciting plans for the future, we have an outstanding opportunity for a Director of Finance to join the central finance team and play a key role in the Trust.

In this newly-created role, you will be accountable for the performance for the finance function and the leadership of the finance team. Working in conjunction with Principals and School Business Managers, you will develop the finance strategy to maximise funding streams and ensure sustainability. As the designated Chief Financial Officer for the Trust, you will prepare all annual accounts and statutory returns and will also fulfil the role of Company Secretary.

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with strong track record of financial management ideally within the education sector. You will have extensive experience in managing financial resources and have a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks. Your integrity, strong leadership skills and ability to communicate at all levels are of equal importance to the Trust, as is your strong commitment to exemplary professional standards and continuous improvement.

The post offers challenge, reward and role development for the right candidate. The role is based within the central finance office at Woodkirk Academy and travel to all Leodis schools will be required.
