SET History

The Sapientia Education Trust (SET) was established in 2016 with the purpose of bringing like-minded schools together to work in partnership to deliver a world class education to pupils in Norfolk and Suffolk. SET currently consists of 6 secondary schools and 10 primary schools, educating over 5,500 pupils. In September 2022 City Academy Norwich are also joining the Trust. Our Schools range in size from the largest state boarding school in the UK, to several very small, rural schools and we all share the belief that high quality education is broad ranging and embraces strong extra-curricular provision and an expectation that all pupils can and should achieve.

As a Trust our school improvement record is very strong. Our vision is to provide a world class education locally, enabling every pupil to flourish and we do this through delivering an education that is holistic and broad ranging, of high quality in and beyond the classroom ensuring opportunities to achieve are available for all. As a Trust we work closely with schools to harness and develop the talents that exist and to meet the professional needs of staff, sharing best practice, with a strong commitment to personal development.
