Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Leader of Geography who is enthusiastic about learning and committed to the success of our students as Director of Learning and Standards. Applications are welcomed from existing subject leaders with a commitment to raising achievement of all pupils and who can successfully demonstrate the wider impact in the life of school. 

You will be a passionate and ambitious teacher of Geography with the vision and leadership skills to develop the department and contribute to learning and teaching in a wider context. The successful candidate must be able to deliver high quality teaching across all Key Stages with a focus on raising and maintaining a high standard of educational outcomes for students. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and aspire to take a leadership role that supports the raising of standards across the school.  

You will be joining Waseley at an exciting time with the school recently becoming part of the Central Region Schools Trust. With this partnership, we are aiming to really put Waseley on the map as the school of choice for the region. This brings with it exciting opportunities to work alongside other successful schools to share expertise, best practice and provide new opportunities for all students.
