£27,947 - £30,007 per annum incl. subject to experience

We are looking to appoint a proactive Director of Learning to join our fantastic Pastoral Team who oversee the day to day running of the year groups and who work closely with Curriculum Leaders to ensure our students receive ‘An Excellent Education for All’.

This is a key appointment for the school as we seek to meet the needs of our students whose Social, Emotional and Mental Health has been impacted because of the national lockdown.    We are looking for someone who can support students to navigate these challenging times whilst having the highest expectations of them so that they are able to achieve their very best.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the learning, progress, attainment, behaviour and wellbeing for a year group of up to 180 students in KS3 or KS4.  As part of their duties they will work closely with the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead and will be trained to Level 3 Safeguarding.

Candidates must be aligned with the schools Vision and Values and will need to be able to demonstrate very strong organisational skills, be able to communicate effectively with and support parents, students and outside agencies.  Experience of working with young people is essential.  Our Pastoral Team are First Aid trained, therefore the successful applicant will also be required to undertake First Aid training.  There will also be the need for sound computer skills with the ability to understand and interpret data.
