Come and join our dedicated Pastoral Team.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Director of Learning to join the school’s pastoral team who oversee the day to day running of the year groups and who work closely with Curriculum Leaders to ensure our students receive ‘An Excellent Education for All’.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the learning, progress, attainment, behaviour and wellbeing for a year group of up to 180 students in KS3 or KS4. As part of their duties they will work closely with the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead and will be trained to Level 3 Safeguarding.

Candidates must be aligned with the schools Vision and Values and will need to be able to demonstrate very strong organisational skills, be able to communicate effectively with and support parents, students and outside agencies. Experience of working with young people is essential. Our Pastoral Team are First Aid trained, therefore the successful applicant will also be required to undertake First Aid training. There will also be the need for sound computer skills with the ability to understand and interpret data.

We have approximately 1000 students on role, 120 of which are enrolled in our thriving Sixth Form which is in the top 12% of schools for A Level results. We offer both A-Level and Vocational pathways and we boast an excellent success rate in University applications.

Situated in Mill Hill, Barnet we have fantastic outdoor space as well as access to sporting facilities at Stone X Stadium and Copthall Leisure Centre.
