We are looking for a Director of Learning for Media, Arts and English to take up this important leadership role at Mulberry UTC, a new school for boys and girls aged 14-19 which opens in Bow in September 2017. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Mulberry Schools Trust and to become a founding member of staff at Mulberry UTC. You will be a member of our Associate Senior Leadership Team, alongside our Principal and Vice-Principals. Our new school will provide young people with the opportunity to achieve excellence in both academic and technical learning. We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic teacher who can excel in their own classroom practice and provide dynamic and inspirational leadership to a team of subject specialists. The successful candidate will be an experienced teacher of media, performing arts, English or related subjects. You will have experience of leading teams and achieving excellent outcomes for students, preferably in an inner city context. You will be skilled at building rapport with students and engaging them in learning in creative, practical and innovative ways. Our successful candidate will join us for September 2017 and we may be able to offer an earlier start.
Mulberry UTC is being set up by the Mulberry Schools Trust, led by the governors of Mulberry School for Girls and supported by Barts Health NHS Trust, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, the British Film Institute, Goldmiths University of London and the National Theatre.
