The Governors wish to appoint a first rate, enthusiastic Director of Learning.  We are looking for someone with expertise in Physics or chemistry to lead our successful science department.  If you are highly motivated, have a passion for and the ability to inspire our pupils and staff then we would love to hear from you.  This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional to join a team of committed staff who share a common sense of purpose and high expectations of what students can achieve. 

The Science Department is a successful, supportive one and offers qualifications at both Key Stages 4 and 5. The Department is equipped with 7 new laboratories and is well-resources, situated in a new state of the art building.

Broughton Hall is situated on the outskirts of Liverpool in very pleasant surroundings.  It has an excellent reputation and students consistently make good to outstanding progress.  Students are encouraged to take part in  enrichment  activities and there are many opportunities for student trips and events.  The school is committed to the continuous professional development of all staff. Ofsted judged the school as 'Good with outstanding features' in November 2013.  In 2015 the school was ranked the top performing non-selective Catholic Girls' school in the city.

Broughton Hall Catholic High School is a Voluntary Aided School catering for girls aged 11-18 years. Boys are admitted to the Sixth Form at 16+. There is shared provision and a strong collaboration between Broughton Hall and Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School. Broughton Hall was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1928 and throughout its history has maintained its Mercy Ethos and Charism. The School Motto, ‘Cor Unum et Anima Una’ – ‘One Heart and One Mind’ – reflects the strong sense of community amongst staff, pupils, parents and governors. The central aim of our School is to provide the very best educational opportunities enabling all our pupils to develop their God-given talents, to grow in confidence and self-esteem and fulfil their potential.
