The Directorate of Learning Services provides support to both students and staff through a number of facilities including the Library and Resource Centre, Academic Skills Centre and English language support. In addition Learning Services also encompasses the University’s Maths and English programmes (including GCSE).

The successful candidate will provide leadership, support and direction to the teaching teams, ensuring the successful delivery of Maths and English (including GCSE) programmes and ensure the effective operational management of the Academic Skills Centre.

You will have an understanding of leading and managing services within a higher/further education environment and proven experience of the development and implementation of innovative learning support resources and environments. You will have in-depth knowledge of current government initiatives in education and excellent interpersonal skills.

You will also have a postgraduate qualification or willingness to undertake in addition to a recognised teaching qualification.
