Individual departments achieved fantastic GCSE results in 2015; among them Science 80% A*-C, Maths 60% A*-C, ICT and Product Design 61% A*-C, Religious Studies 60% A*-C and English Literature 54% A*-C.

As Director of Mathematics, reporting to the Assistant Principal, you will be part of the Secondary Academic Team and will work closely with other Directors to drive school improvement, you will be responsible for continuing success at all key stages against a background of curriculum change and exam reform.

For this key role, you will be an outstanding teacher, delivering good and outstanding lessons, an excellent team player and a confident, creative and inspirational leader with up to date subject knowledge and a track record of success in maximising student progress to lead the Mathematics curriculum. We seek a professional who is committed to academic excellence and helping every child succeed, who will be responsible for driving the teaching and learning agenda throughout the Mathematics curriculum in KS3 & 4.

• Has the ability to teach outstanding lessons across the age (11-16) and ability range.
• Is committed to raising standards of attainment and developing the success of the department.
• Enjoys working as part of a team and demonstrates reflective practice through the high expectations they have of themselves and the students.
