Job overview
We are looking to appoint a talented, enthusiastic and highly innovative Director of Music to join Hallfield School and run both the Music department and deliver the varied programme of school concerts and events. With a passion for teaching Music to children (EYFS to Year 8) and inspiring young musicians, the role would suit someone with experience in a similar role, ideally within the independent sector.
Our new Director of Music will be working directly with the Head and Senior Leadership Team to develop and shape the Music Department. The post holder will be a successful Music Teacher, with the ability to inspire our pupils, lead peripatetic staff and conduct outstanding quality performance.
Music is a central part of Hallfield School and the position will involve working directly with the Head Master and Executive Team to develop and shape the Music Department and to deliver a varied programme of concerts throughout the year, providing music for high profile events such as the Carol Service and Speech Day.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our leading independent school and to play a key role in the strategic plans for the Music department moving forward.

Hallfield School is a flourishing co-educational Prep School, renowned for the quality of its extended curriculum and excellent academic reputation.
