Danes Hill seeks to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic professional with excellent keyboard skills to lead its vibrant and successful Music Department.
Working alongside the Director of Instrumental Music and heading a team of 13 peripatetic instrumental teachers, the successful candidate will be an experienced and inspirational classroom teacher, with strong organisation and time-management skills.
In conjunction with the Drama Department, Danes Hill stages at least seven musical productions a year. It is therefore essential that the Director of Music has a love of musical theatre and is a first-rate pianist, with strong sight-reading skills. The successful candidate will also direct at least two of the three choirs (including the Chamber Choir which undertakes an annual European concert tour) and will become fully involved in supporting the orchestra and other instrumental ensembles.
Closing date: Tuesday 10 December 2019.
Interviews: January 2020.
