In the early years, an inquiry-based “Inquire-Think-Learn” curriculum, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach is followed. In the primary, secondary and high school, EtonHouse offers the globally recognized International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme and IGCSE qualifications. There are 10 IB schools in the EtonHouse family.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Director and working in collaboration with the Principals, the Director of Pedagogy will be responsible to provide pedagogical leadership for early years and K-12 curriculum across the EtonHouse Group. 

• To advocate for a clear reflection of the EtonHouse vision, mission and curriculum values and practices in all pedagogical and operational procedures across all schools

• To establish, maintain and enhance EtonHouse’s early years and K-12 curriculum in order to achieve strong educational outcomes that reflect current and best practices.

• To achieve alignment of curriculum across the early years and K-12 pathways for EtonHouse schools

• To oversee and implement decisions to move forward on any curriculum upgrades and/or changes based upon the pedagogical vision of EtonHouse

• To develop and maintain pedagogical policies and practices to ensure that it is of high quality, stays relevant and up to date

• To ensure that curriculum documentation for all learning areas is of a high standard and easily accessible

• To design and facilitate the delivery of high quality professional development seminars, workshop, trainings and conferences for the EtonHouse group and the wider educational community of both within and outside Singapore

• To facilitate regular and well-structured meetings with teachers, curriculum coordinators and principals to ensure professional dialogue around children’s learning, professional practice and curriculum quality

• To lead, develop and oversee research projects that can enhance the EtonHouse curriculum and can be shared both locally and internationally

• To critically review and share research on best practice in teaching and learning with teachers and curriculum coordinators for their professional development

• To provide leadership and mentorship to the pedagogy team to ensure that the team contributes positively to the successful delivery of pedagogical outcomes

• To support the Brand and Marketing department by writing, developing and reviewing content for EtonHouse’s promotional materials, press releases and articles on the various social media platforms

• To support and work closely with the Business Development Department in setting up EtonHouse schools both locally and overseas

Who are we looking for:

• A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education from a reputable University

• Strong experience in IBPYP

• Good knowledge of Early Years inquiry based curriculum, IGCSE and IBDP will be an advantage

• 10-15 years of experience in the education with at least 5 years in a pedagogical leadership role

• Strategic leadership and organisational skills

• High EQ with the charisma to motivate and collaborate with Principals and Teachers.

• A self starter with strong ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive approach to work and relationships with others.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• International experience, especially in Asia, is highly valued.
