Due to internal promotion, we are seeking applicants for the above position.

The successful applicant will report to the Deputy Head Academic, and be responsible for leading and managing the development of all subjects within the Performance Arts Faculty across our senior school. This will include, but is not limited to, providing support for Heads of subject in dealing with staff, students, parents and exam boards; preparing faculty reviews, producing and implementing a Faculty Development Plan and attending the Curriculum Committee.

You will have led a subject or department in a senior school and have managed members of staff, including conducting the appraisal of teaching staff. You will have vision and the ability to plan strategically; a working knowledge of the current assessment demands of exam boards and subject knowledge sufficient to stretch and challenge our students. You will be able to adapt to fast changing situations, have a positive, professional attitude and a genuine interest in delivering positive outcomes for young people. 

Applications are welcome from Qualified Teachers with an undergraduate degree (2:2 or above) in an appropriate subject. An additional undergraduate subject qualification is desirable and the ability to teach academic Drama to at least GCSE level is essential.
