Job overview

Rossall School is among the most successful and prestigious independent boarding and day schools in the North West with flourishing pupil numbers.

This exciting new post has been created as part of the expansion and re-development of our existing Nursery provision. Alongside day-to-day management of our new Pre-School provision, this is an ostensibly outward facing role with a clear expectation to contribute towards the promotion and marketing of our Pre-school. As the entry point to Rossall School, the Director of the Pre-School will possess excellent knowledge of the ‘Rossall Journey’ and have a demonstrable track record of outstanding success in the realm of recruitment.

The Director of Pre-School will be a strategic thinker with an enviable record of implementing change within an Early Years environment. He or she will be an outstanding practitioner with the ability to motivate and lead a team. It is our intention that this resolutely outward facing position will suit an individual with clear aspirations to further their leadership credentials within a whole school setting. He or she will report directly to the Head of Junior, Infant and Nursery and will be responsible for responding to the School Development Plan with a sophisticated and creative plan to ensure the long term development of this most important aspect of our provision. The wholesale redevelopment of the pre-School  resources will operate in conjunction with our Outdoor Learning Project. The Director of the Pre-School will be responsible for developing this aspect of our existing provision. The Director of Rossall Pre-School will also be ensuring compliance with all aspects of statutory policies and protocols.
