Established in 2011, Nishkam School Trust is a pioneering group of academies with a Sikh ethos, multi-faith, virtues-led’ approach to education. We are inspired by the inter-religious legacy of the Sikh faith. We believe that our approach to education should be more than simply be a means to acquiring factual knowledge. It should engage pupils more fully to what it might be to be of the highest of human virtue and engage in the question of the purpose of life and beyond.
We are a truly collaborative Trust thriving on the positive relationships and willing involvement of like-minded professionals. We want an individual with the insight to identify and promote best practice, and the courage to challenge our schools to improve even further.
We are now seeking a committed Director of Primary Education to work in collaboration with our schools. Your enthusiasm for ensuring all children benefit from the very best education will be infectious, as will be your passion for promoting high standards for all.
The successful candidate will work alongside the CEO providing support, advice and challenge to achieve consistent and sustained improvement across our primary schools and beyond. They will develop inclusive Trust-wide strategies and plans as well as plans for individual schools tailored to value difference and deliver outcomes that will improve the lives of children - all whilst championing and role modelling our unique ethos.
Our Director of Primary Education is not required to be a member of any religion. However, they are expected to have an affinity for a virtues-led approach and be able to lead and inspire staff and pupils within these guiding principles.
