Job overview

The Director of Quality, working alongside the Executive Team, will oversee and implement the cross-trust quality management systems and processes in our primary schools to enable Huish to achieve its vision “delivering exceptional education”

This is a new role and is a shift from ‘School Improvement’ which is deliberate and recognises our philosophy that ultimately Headteachers are responsible for the ‘Quality of Education’ in their Schools. Therefore, any improvements that need to be made in a school should be identified and implemented by the Headteacher. That said we also acknowledge at times help is needed with this, and most of the really powerful work and strategies that drive improvement/quality require the support and perhaps facilitation of someone in addition to school leadership staff.

Job Purpose:

  • Develop, implement, maintain and review the quality management elements and processes used in Huish Primary Schools.
  • To ensure that these are effectively used to inform improvement and contribute to strategic developments in learning, teaching and the wider educational experience.
  • Working with the MIS Manager and other colleagues ensure that accurate data is available which meets the needs of all Primary School stakeholders and also provides a ‘touchstone’ that drives continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that any tracking, monitoring, reporting and review processes are well considered and support the need for continual improvements in schools.
  • Ensure that impact assessment is an integral part of the quality management processes across Huish Primary Schools and use these to further refine improvement strategies.
  • Promote excellent practice in quality management and ensure that colleagues understand the purpose and principles of the processes and activities undertaken.

Interviews are likely to be held on Wed 14th Dec on site.
