DIRECTOR OF RELIGIOUS STUDIES Required for Easter 2018 (negotiable) Leadership Point L6 – L10 (£44,544 - £49,199) Permanent/Full Time Job Ref:  4600/360/18

We are looking for a highly skilled and inspiring leader of Religious Studies to take responsibility for pupil outcomes and the continued development of curriculum and staff within the Religious Studies Department at Blue Coat. The post holder will also lead and support with curriculum and staff development for teaching Religious Studies across our Multi Academy Trust. 

We expect to accredit the successful applicant as a Specialist Leader of Education, so there will also be the opportunity to lead and support the development of Religious Studies teaching across our Teaching School Alliance. This is a leadership post in its own right, which will provide the appropriate leadership development to enable the successful candidate to move into Senior Leadership within a couple of years.

Blue Coat is a National Teaching School and lead school of the Cranmer Education Trust and Manchester Nexus SCITT, and is committed to the development of outstanding professional practice and excellent outcomes and progress for all.
