The Eastbourne Academy has just received its Ofsted report (January 2017) confirming once again that it is a Good school. The Lead Inspector commented: “Pupils are immensely proud of their school and are keen to learn.” We have regularly won awards for national achievement and our rebuilding programme was completed in 2013 -14 so that you will be working in state of the art facilities. We are a national leader in the operation of a one to one tablet computer scheme for students and staff. 

 We are an exceptionally friendly and supportive staff group and we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Director of Science to share his/her passion for the subject with all of us.

 We are looking for candidates who:  

 · Are passionate about teaching children and have belief in the value and talents of all students.

 · Have the vision and energy required to impact on the continuous process of raising attainment in the department.

 · Can provide outstanding quality learning and teaching in the Science department, modelling excellence in the classroom. 

· Are dynamic, inspirational and impart a joy for learning.

 · Can model outstanding teaching and lead a team to a similar place. · Are committed to all learners. 

· Can utilise excellent classroom skills in order to provide high quality personal and professional development for teachers within the Science department.
