Job overview

Tower Hamlets Education Partnership (THE Partnership) is a young charity with a big mission: to support all our schools to deliver the very best education to improve outcomes for their pupils.

If you are driven by social purpose and want to work with a dynamic and growing charity supporting the children and young people in Tower Hamlets (and, in due course, beyond) to achieve their best possible outcomes, we want to hear from you.

We are looking for an experienced and committed Director of Secondary Education and Partnerships to work closely with our Executive Director and other Directors to help lead THE Partnership. You will be a strategic thinker and planner, with strong relationship building skills, significant school improvement experience and the ability to turn vision into action. You will be practical and focused, willing to do what it takes to get a job done. You will be passionate about education and have a genuine commitment to improving the life chances of young people in Tower Hamlets.

The Director of Secondary Education and Partnerships’ role is fundamental to our ongoing success. We are looking for someone with demonstrable gravitas and the ability to command respect amongst their peers. The right person will have expertise in secondary school improvement and in school-to-school support and will be able to build effective relationships with secondary schools, local government and the community to ensure that THE Partnership maximises its impact.

If you would welcome an informal discussion about the position before you apply, please contact Tracy Smith, Executive Director at tracy.smith@the-partnership.org.uk

Closing date: Tuesday 11 February
