Job overview

We seek an experienced and dynamic Director of Sport who will be responsible for raising the profile and leading the development of sport across the College (Early Years, Junior and Senior School) in collaboration with the whole college Physical Education team, coaches and school leadership. A key component of the role will be to develop the vision for Sport at the College to build upon successes and achieve both high performance and student participation. Sport is highly valued and is one of our pillars of excellence. The ideal candidate will enhance this further; locally, nationally and internationally. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential for this position. The Director of Sport will be an effective leader and team-player working collaboratively with a motivated team. There will be a teaching commitment.  We are members of FOBISIA and ACAMIS and, within the Dulwich network of schools, participate with much success in the Dulwich College Asia Games. The Sports facilities are outstanding and include two ‘domes’ for indoor tennis, football, basketball and volleyball, a sports hall for further indoor sport, including hockey in the winter, a FIFA Grade 2 artificial football pitch, a grass rugby pitch, a grass cricket pitch, 6 outdoor tennis courts, a gym, a 25m 5 lane pool, a fitness suite and a dance studio. We offer excellent professional development opportunities including teacher and leader collaboration across our colleges through Dulwich College International.

Established in 2005, Dulwich College Beijing (DCB) is a reputable international school, home to over 1,550 students aged 2 to 18, and is accredited by ISI, HMC, IB, CIS and WASC and regularly reviewed by our founding school in London, Dulwich College, as well as Dulwich College International. The College comprises three schools: Early Years, Junior School and Senior School, each with its own Head Teacher. The youngest children start with Foundation Stage, while students in Years 1 to 9 study an enhanced English National Curriculum, followed by IGCSE courses in Years 10 and 11 and the well-regarded International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Years 12 and 13. 

DCB continually offers excellent professional development opportunities, and staff regularly receive notifications of these offerings. In addition, Dulwich College International enables staff to connect with other like-minded professionals across our Colleges through a wide range of programmes to develop best practice, including high-quality leadership training.
