Kent College

Kent College is a leading co-educational day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3 months - 18 years, set across beautiful campuses on the edge of the historic cathedral city of Canterbury. Offering an exceptional educational journey from Garden Cottage Nursery through to Sixth Form, Kent College combines academic ambition with outstanding pastoral care, ensuring every child is known, supported and encouraged to fulfil their individual potential.

Our Garden Cottage Nursery and Junior School are situated on their own picturesque 14-acre campus, just one mile from Canterbury city centre. Here, children benefit from a nurturing environment, with an individual approach to learning, specialist teaching and a wide range of opportunities across music, sport, drama and the arts.

Founded in 1885, Kent College has a long-standing reputation for academic excellence and a broad co-curricular programme. Pupils benefit from exceptional opportunities both inside and beyond the classroom, supported by outstanding facilities including extensive sports grounds, an all-weather hockey pitch and the state-of-the-art Great Hall, a 600-seat performance and events venue at the heart of school life.

Kent College is a welcoming and inclusive community where pupils from a wide range of backgrounds and over 40 countries learn and live together. The KC boarding provision offers a strong sense of family, helping pupils to settle quickly, build lasting friendships and make the most of everything the KC has to offer.

Kent College was inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) in November 2025, with all standards met across leadership and management, quality of education, pupils’ wellbeing, contribution to society and safeguarding.

Kent College West Cairo opened in 2022, extending the KC’s values, ethos and educational approach to an international community.

The International Study Centre provides bespoke English language programmes, helping international students to develop confidence and linguistic skills before integrating fully into mainstream lessons and progressing successfully to the next stage of their education.
