Queen’s Gate is a thriving GSA day school for girls aged 4 –18 and is ideally situated in Central London to take advantage of the many educational opportunities on offer. The PE department makes full use of many excellent local sporting facilities. Pupils represent the Borough at a variety of sports at the London Youth Games and others compete at National Level. We have successful Netball, Hockey and Rounders Teams and we are renowned for the success of our Cross Country Squad.  Girls have also achieved success in the Biathlon at National and European levels. Early morning clubs, a Fencing Academy, Rowing, Tennis Academy and sporting trips are all features of the PE Department.  

We wish to appoint from 1st September 2018, a highly motivated, talented, dynamic and ambitious Physical Education teacher to lead our Department.  The Department has enjoyed much success and is now reviewing its future direction.  

The successful candidate will be an effective PE specialist who is flexible and able to inspire pupils, promoting the subject and its extensive extra-curricular programme throughout the Junior and Senior schools and possessing expert coaching skills in at least one or more of our sports.  The Director of Sport is a key appointment and  will be expected to provide excellent interpersonal management and have the ambition and vision to continue the development of this outstanding Department.

About Queen's Gate School

Queen's Gate School is an all-through independent day school for girls aged 4-18, housed in five Victorian buildings in South Kensington, London. There are around 500 pupils on roll, with a wide range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, reflecting the diversity of the city.

Queen's Gate School was founded in 1891 by Miss Eleanor Beatrice Wyatt in her parents' home. The present site was acquired in 2005. The school is an educational trust overseen by a board of governors.
