Teacher Pay Scale plus TLR2c payment (£6,646 per annum)

The Role

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and ambitious teacher into the role of Director of Standards. Being responsible for a year group(s) in a particular Key Stage, the Director of Standards will liaise with the senior leader linked to the year group, form tutors, middle leaders and welfare coordinators.  Their role is to monitor the academic and personal development, behaviour and welfare of students within their care and there is also a requirement to teach a core subject, as part of this role.

The School

Manchester Health Academy opened in September 2009 and is sponsored by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. In September 2010 the Academy moved into a £20 million state-of-the-art building and to accommodate a growing student population we have recently completed a further £10 million expansion project. Rated by Ofsted in April 2015 as a good school, with many outstanding features, we are now embarking on the next stage of our journey to outstanding and are looking for exceptional and inspiring individuals to help us achieve this ambition.

What we’re looking for

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and exceptional teacher, who is highly organised, results orientated and a strong team player who relishes a challenge.  You will have excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents and carers.  You will already have pastoral experience and be able to demonstrate the required skills to motivate and inspire students to learn.

Applicants must also be able to teach either English, maths or humanities.
