Bootham Junior School offers pupils a stimulating and challenging time, both inside and outside the classroom. Through a lively curriculum and a varied range of activities we strive to embed the necessary skills for the educational challenges which our pupils will face in the years ahead.

Since Quakers believe there is ‘that of God’ in everyone, the School emphasises responsibility for self and for others. We place a premium on integrity, honesty and trustworthiness from an early age.

We also know our young pupils thrive in a nurturing early years environment, so our main objective is to ensure their years with us are happy, stimulating and successful ones.

We welcome applications from dedicated professionals who are prepared, in the Quaker ethos, to live adventurously – to participate fully in the life of this remarkable school, to engage with education beyond the classroom, to seek out opportunities to serve the pupils, and to reflect on their own professional experience and on the development of the school
