Due to school growth and leading up to the opening of Year 7 and beyond, the Arbor School is hiring a Director of Studies (Prep) for April 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter. The Director will play a key role across the entire age range in monitoring academic data systems, delivering CPD and in ensuring quality teaching and learning. They shall help further develop our innovative curriculum and timetable, which delivers upon the school’s ecoliterate vision and report directly to the school’s Principal. As they plan, prepare and open Years 7 and 8 from 2019, they will become Head of these specific year groups as well as Director of Studies for Prep. Required Candidate profile:
• First language English speaker
• A Master’s degree in Education and Qualified Teacher Status
• A successful track record in teaching and learning and an ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment
• An appreciation for environmental sustainability and a values-based education
• A sense of humour and excellent work ethic.
