Director of Technology

We are currently seeking an imaginative, creative, and proactive leader in this new role to take our Technology faculty to the next stage of its development. It is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher and leader to join us on our incredible journey at Bloxwich Academy; an oversubscribed and expanding school that has undertaken rapid improvement in recent years, achieving 'Good' (Nov 21) and now striving for 'Outstanding'. The academy has a well-equiped and vibrant Technology faculty including Construction Food, ICT, Computing and Textiles, with high pupil interest in all areas.

Applicants will be able to lead the faculty and teach one of the above subjects as preferred specialism across all key stages up to A level. Applications are welcome from experienced leaders and well-qualified ambitious teachers with leadership skills looking to take their next step in professional development.

We are looking for: A talented teacher of Textiles and Food. Could it be you? You must be able to demonstrate:

• A proven track record of raising attainment through their teaching and learning, making a positive impact within and beyond their own classroom.
• In-depth subject knowledge of subject specialism.
• A passion to make a difference in pupils' lives.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and inspire pupils and support colleagues.
• A commitment to school improvement.
• An ability to inspire and lead a team.
• Understanding of both GCSE, A-Level and vocational course structure is desirable.
