Job overview

We are seeking an experienced academic to lead our new Institute of Education, and to raise our profile for world-class teaching, research and professional development relating to teachers, children and schools. Our ideal candidate will have an inspiring vision for the development of teacher education in a changing policy context, a strong Research and Knowledge Exchange profile, and proven successful leadership in the field of higher education.

Initial Teacher Education at Winchester is Outstanding (Ofsted, 2018) and the University has Silver TEF status.
